This is Casey’s seventh year with the Women’s Volleyball Program at Pierce College, and assisted Nabil in winning his first State Championship in 2010, another one in 2011, and most recently another championship in 2012. In 2003, after playing three seasons for Santa Monica Beach Club under head coach Nabil Mardini, Casey received a full-ride scholarship for volleyball to Cal Poly Pomona where she played four years and emerged as one of the team’s top players. Furthermore, she was the President of Cal Poly Pomona’s SAAC (Student Athletic Advisory Council) her senior year and was the Publicity Director for two years.
Casey is also an administrator and coach with the Los Angeles Volleyball Academy and assisted the top 16 and under Santa Monica Beach Club Boys team to Bronze Medal at the 2013 Junior Nationals in Reno, Nevada. She moved into coaching soon after graduating, spending a pair of high successful season as an assistant of the elite-level 17-1’s squad, then two years as head coach of the 17-2’s. She moved into the younger levels in her fifth year, coaching successive seasons in the 13’s division.
Casey was also a standout player for Saugus High School receiving all league honors. She graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with Bachelors of Arts in Behavioral Science.
This is Kristin’s first year with the Women’s Volleyball Program. Kristin is a Brahma (Class of 2006) who carried the program to winning back-to-back conference titles as an All-State selection Opposite. In her second season with the Lady Brahmas, Kristin captained the squad all the way to the State Finals, the first time the prestigious program went that deep into the post-season. Kristin graduated from Hart High School where as one of the best players in the school’s history and in the Santa Clarita area.
With an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and a Master’s in Coaching and Athletic Administration adding to her accomplished background and overall excellence, Kristin earned her coaching stripes with the long-time staple of club volleyball, SMBC Girls Volleyball, when it was under the care and direction of Nabil. Most recently, Kristin led the Notre Dame Sherman Oaks High School volleyball program to great heights winning league and making several CIF appearances.
Currently, Kristin is a lead coach for the Los Angeles Volleyball Academy where she compiled a lengthy club resumѐ, with multiple seasons spent at the 14′s, 17′s, and 18′s age divisions. Kristin brings infectious energy which most certainly transfers over to her players.
