Matt Hank, owner of ASAP Performance (www.asap-pt.com), has been developing cutting edge sports performance programs for the last eleven years. He has worked with youth, high school, college, and professional athletes. His knowledge and passion for sports performance makes him a highly respected strength and conditioning coach. Matt is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is also certified through USA Weightlifting (USAW), specializing in Olympic Lifting.
Matt received his Bachelors degree from San Diego State University in 2004, where he worked with the fitness programs on campus and began personal training youth athletes. He then went on to receive his Master’s degree from Cal State Northridge in 2006 where he worked as a strength and conditioning coach for the athletic department during graduate school. During this time he worked with many of the athletic teams on campus including the Men’s Volleyball program. He also trains local high school athletes in the San Fernando Valley during school. After finishing graduate school, Matt moved back to San Diego to work as a strength and conditioning coach for the University of San Diego (USD). After a stint with the Toreros, Matt took on a great opportunity and worked at the Sports Performance Combine as a strength and conditioning coach training local high schools teams and individual athletes. In 2007, Matt took a position with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim as a strength and conditioning coach for Cedar Rapids Kernels minor league baseball team.
Lenny will be starting his 23rd year as an athletic trainer at Pierce College.
He graduated from CSU Long Beach in 1985 with a B.A. in physical education with a concentration in athletic training.
Lenny was born at Edwards AFB, CA. and grew up living in Okinawa, Philippines, Guam, Japan and a few other bases in the USA.Lenny had a brief stint in the Air Force after attending AFROTC at Loyola Marymount University. His love for all sports and an injury in college led him to the athletic training profession.
Lenny has worked numerous college recruiting camps in his 26 years as an athletic trainer at such places including Pepperdine, UCLA, Santa Clara, Indiana and Rutgers.
Lenny has been happily married since 1989 and has two daughters attending college and one son still in high school
Los Angeles Pierce College's Athletic Trainer Robert Horowitz is a native of Southern California has been at Los Angeles Pierce College since fall 2013 He has been in the physical Therapy Athletic Training field for 27 years and 22 years of experience within the Sports Medicine /Athletic Training Field, Robert also is a licensed Physical therapy Assistant at Southern California Orthopedic Institute in their Center for rehabilitative Medicine. He is Graduate of California State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Physical Education .Mr. Horowitz earned his Master’s of Science in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University. He has helped establish a first rate quality sport medicine program during his 20 years at Los Angeles City College by brining on Kaiser Sunset hospital division of family practice as the team physicians. This partnership provides the combination of private industry with a public institution to provide quality health care to the student athletes at Los Angeles City College.
